Well, sugar free pancakes that is until you add maple syrup in bucket loads. These pancakes will save you from the summer holidays. These and a glass of wine and perhaps a bit of screen time.
I’ve made a conscious effort to pop more reviews up on the blog as I know from seeing my Facebook stats that people seem to like it. And I know that the summer holidays brings with it the conundrum of how to entertain the kids without spending a fortune or resorting to iPads.
We went to Madrid. Just me and my husband. No kids. Two nights away. It felt decadent and almost like a honeymoon. We went to Barcelona for our honeymoon, just for three days mind. (No, this was not a deliberately miserly honeymoon, my dad was ill and well, it felt a bit odd to be living it up whilst he lay in hospital).

This is how it started. All grump and tantrum over not being allowed to sit in 27 degree heat without a sun hat. When you’re 1 it’s important to look cool on the beach. Who cares about sun stroke?
